Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with acute care experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This role involves 1:1 patient ratios and requires working every other weekend or approximately 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period. On-call and float duties are required. Scheduling accommodations may be possible with manager approval.

Unit Details

• Percutaneous coronary angioplasty
• Coronary artery bypass graft
• Pacemaker placement
• Heart valve replacement
• Peripheral vascular bypass
• Creation, revision, and removal of AV fistula
• Lobectomy
• Insertion, replacement, and removal of ventricular shunt

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Must work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• On-call and float duties required

Documentation & Systems

• Documentation system used: EPIC
• Contracted hours guaranteed
• Scrubs: Any solid color (bring your own or wear provided scrubs)

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 31 - March 31), with medical or religious exemptions accepted under strict guidelines
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start
• Fit mask test within 12 months prior to start (specific mask types required; must be fully shaven)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months prior to start
• Required immunizations or titers within 5 years: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (must include marijuana; witnessed urine collection required for instant tests)
• Background checks including social security trace, education verification, and others as required by state regulations
• Fingerprinting: Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting recommended)

• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Finalized Return to Office (RTO) schedule must be included with submission; no changes accepted after offer
• Two professional references must be submitted with application
• Block scheduling may be accommodated depending on unit needs and manager approval
