Location: New Orleans, Louisiana

Job Description
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required.
- Prior travel experience required (No first-time travelers accepted).
- Epic electronic health record experience required.
- Patient population includes General Rehab, Stroke Rehab, Spinal Cord Rehab, and Brain Injury Rehab.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5.
- Weekend shifts required.
- Float requirement applies.
- No call required.
- Special note: Minimize time-off requests during Mardi Gras period (Feb 13 - Feb 22).
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification).
- Must have a valid Registered Nurse license for Louisiana.
- Competency exams (medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, core competencies) required and must be current.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID matching candidate documentation.
- Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
- Drug screening within 30 days of start (10-panel or expanded depending on hire date).
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per current guidelines
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), with exemptions accepted.
- Physical exam not required by employer but may be required by placement agency.
- Employment application with 7 years of work history, no gaps over 30 days.
Additional Information
- Scrubs color: Royal Blue.
- Must comply with employee appearance policy.
- Medication and pharmacology competency exams must be passed with 80% or higher and updated annually.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification may be required depending on unit.
- Facility-specific forms and attestations required prior to start.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum of 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience.
- Rehabilitation experience within the last year.
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
