Job Opportunity: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Home Health
Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide home care nursing services with no call or float responsibilities.
- Work schedule: 40 hours per week, dayshift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
- Weekends may be required as needed.
- Must have reliable personal transportation to travel to patients' homes.
- Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses.
- Nursing care includes wound care, ostomy care, indwelling catheters, and care for patients with CVA, cancer, edema, sepsis, COPD, CHF, and other conditions.
- Use of specialized equipment such as CoaguChek, phlebotomy supplies, and Aspira drains.
- Epic electronic charting experience is required.
- Skills checklist will be completed during onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN / LVN license in New Hampshire.
- Minimum 1 year of home health nursing experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patients.
- Phlebotomy skills.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Travelers who have previously been employed by the associated health system are not eligible.
- Background check includes social security verification, national sex offender registry, criminal searches (excluding NH counties), motor vehicle record check, and education verification.
- Drug screen panel includes amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, fentanyl, methadone, opiates, PCP, and others.
- Pass/fail testing for EKG/dysrhythmia is required within 48 hours of contract signing.
- Candidates must complete state-specific releases and authorizations as required.
- Facility requires documentation of compliance with OSHA education and other safety protocols.
- Physical and health document expiration dates are managed with extended expiration to avoid frequent renewals.

- Generalist nursing care including wound care, ostomy, catheter care.
- Chronic and acute conditions such as stroke, cancer, edema, sepsis, COPD, and congestive heart failure.

This position is ideal for LVN/LPN nurses with home health or related experience who are comfortable working independently in patients' homes and have strong clinical and phlebotomy skills.
