Location: San Francisco, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- ICU Registered Nurse position
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- No on-call duties
- Weekend rotation required
- Floating as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Minimum 3 years ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Certifications & Competencies
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC only
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA or ARC only
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification (expiration 1-2 years)
- Pass/Fail EKG exam required onsite after start (for ICU RNs at this location)
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Other certifications may be position-dependent (e.g., CCRN, TNCC)
Background & Screening Requirements
- 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening
- EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List, Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List as applicable
- Education verification (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
- References: 2 professional references required (Aya requirement only)
- Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must state "cleared for work")
- Fit test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
- Immunizations and/or titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (11/1 - 4/30) or signed declination
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start
Additional Requirements
- Must complete facility-specific documents and trainings prior to start, including:
- Job description review
- Standards of Business Conduct
- Code of Conduct
- Vendor Training
- TB Questionnaire (within 90 days, renewed annually)
- Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
- Attestations for employment verification accepted only for gaps less than 1 year; longer gaps may result in contract cancellation
