Operating Room

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN assignment in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
• 10-week winter coverage assignment.
• Start date: 12/18/2026.
• Schedule: 5x8 day shifts, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with shift rotation as needed.
• Weekend rotation and call are required.
• No holiday RTO.
• No more than 5 days of RTO.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Operating Room experience within the last year.
• 3 years of Operating Room experience.
• Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients.
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• NIHSS
• State License 1 Verification
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
• Color Blind Testing Online
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam
• References required within 3 years of start.
• Employment Application with 7-year work history and no gaps greater than 90 days.
• Work History Verification for the last 7 years of employment.
• Skills Checklist 1
• Physical Exam within 12 months of start.
• Fit Mask Test within 12 months of start.
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
• TB Questionnaire
• Rubeola (Measles)
• Mumps
• Rubella
• Hepatitis B
• Varicella
• Drug Testing
• Flu Seasonal Vaccination/Documentation - 2026-27
• Attestation of Prior Radiation Exposure

Preferred

• 5 years of trauma experience preferred.
• COVID vaccination is preferred if the candidate has received it.

• Short term acute care hospital.
• 426 staffed beds.
• Level II Trauma Ctr.
• EPIC charting.
• Scrubs provided.
• Free parking.
