Travel/Contract RN assignment in New Haven, Connecticut.
10-week winter coverage assignment.
Start date: 12/18/2026.
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00.
Hours per week: 36.

Unit Details

PICU with average ratio of 1:2.
Level I Trauma Center.
Total staffed beds: 1,567.
Charting system: Epic.
Scrub color: Royal blue.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (3 years of experience).
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year.
One completed travel assignment.
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Every other weekend.
Must float to other pediatric units as needed and only perform scope of practice.
Pending license accepted.
No holiday RTO.
No more than 5 days RTO.
First-timers not accepted.

Preferred

Experience in cardiac critical care.
ECMO certification.
CRRT certification.

Floating Scope

May float to Pediatric ED, NNICU, inpatient departments, and Wini 1 (psych) as needed.
When floating, traveler is expected to take an assignment and care for assigned patients.

Additional Notes

Guaranteed hours.
Block schedule not accepted.
On-call not required.
