Registered Nurse — Emergency Department

Job Overview

Travel/contract role in New Haven, Connecticut
Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
13-week contract
Short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center
Assigned to one campus with possible rotation to other campuses and ED observation
May float within scope to meet facility needs
Block scheduling may be accommodated
Guaranteed hours

Schedule

Every other weekend required
No on-call
RTO greater than 7 days requires approval

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department experience (1.5 years)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
NIHSS

Unit Details

Emergency Department ratios average 1:6 on days and nights
Travelers do not get trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units
Cross-training and floating to other campuses and ED observation are included

Additional Notes

Charting system: Epic
Parking is available for $125/month
