Role Details
- Labor and delivery nurse role with expected ratios of 1:2 in labor and 1:3 in antepartum
- Clinical focus includes high-risk labor and delivery, antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, active labor management, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Antepartum experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- NURSYS verification
- Electronic fetal monitoring certification
- Chemotherapy certification
- IV certification
- Management of assaultive behavior certification
- NIH Stroke certification
- CPI certification
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Competency exam
- L&D EFM training requirement: satisfied by either an EFM certification or the fetal heart rate monitoring assessment exam
Experience and References
- 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
