Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License

Job Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs using history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data
• Delegates, supervises, and evaluates team members, including during urgent or emergent situations
• Provides nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and physician-prescribed medical plans
• Completes verification of the Safe Surgery checklist
• Documents care information accurately and timely
• Uses health and safety equipment to protect patient and staff, including duties within or out of the sterile field
• Preps the operating room for patient/procedure
• Positions and prepares the patient on the operating table
• Serves as liaison to family and the operating team
• Assists in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
• Performs circulating duties
• Participates in assigned call as scheduled
