Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position

Job Description

• Monday to Friday position
• On-call required only if absolutely necessary
• Acute care experience required, with strong skills in bedside and modified barium swallow studies
• Certification in FEES and Vital Stim preferred
• Comfortable treating patients with tracheostomies
• Must have Kentucky license and current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Immediate start date based on need

Required Credentials & Compliance

Licenses & Certifications

• Kentucky or compact state license for Kentucky ARH facilities
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Certification in FEES and Vital Stim preferred

Immunizations & Health Requirements

• Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer (or first dose started with second dose within 28-30 days)
• Proof of 3 Hepatitis B vaccine series or declination accepted
• Annual Influenza vaccine (October-March) or approved medical/religious exemption
• Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or positive titer (or first dose started with second dose within 28-30 days)
• Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (declinations accepted)
• TB Quantiferon blood test within one year prior to start
• Annual physical or physician statement within 1 year prior to start, stating clear to work without restrictions

Background & Professional Verification

• 7-year background check including county, nationwide criminal, SSN trace, sex offender registry, SAM, OIG, EPLS, OFAC, and national sex offender checks (updated annually)
• Education and employment verifications (7 years relevant experience required)
• 2 professional references required: 1 charge or higher and 1 supervisor reference within the last year
• Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry verification within 30 days prior to start (annual update required)

Skills & Competency

• Specialty job description signed and dated (annual update required)
• Unit-specific skills checklist within one year prior to start (annual update required)
• Competency exam specific to scope of practice within one year prior to start (annual update required)
• Core competencies including HIPAA, patient rights, safety, infection control, elder abuse, cultural diversity, advance directives (annual update required)

Drug Screening

• ARH 20/20 drug screen within 30 days of start (annual update required)

Submission Requirements

• Complete submission packet including cover sheet, resume, skills checklist, driver’s license, and license/certification verification in one PDF
• ARH Assignment Confirmation form to be uploaded within 24 hours of acceptance

Additional Notes

• Must comply with ARH Employee Health file registration and documentation upload requirements
• Candidate must follow all compliance deadlines to start assignment
