ICU RN Travel Job - Whitesburg, Kentucky

Position Details

• Specialty: RN ICU

• Location: Whitesburg, Kentucky
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours on / 48 hours off over a two-week pay period
• Start Date: Immediate (start date on job is start date needed)
• Residency Requirement: RN must reside within 100 miles of the facility to be considered

Experience Requirements

• Specialty Experience: Minimum 2+ years of current ICU nursing experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required

Certifications & Licenses Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIH Certification
• Nursys License Verification (within 30 days of start)
• State Nursing License: Kentucky or compact license valid for Kentucky

Immunizations & Health Requirements

• Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer
• Proof of 3 Hepatitis B vaccine series or declination
• Influenza vaccine (seasonal, October-March) or approved medical/religious exemption
• Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or positive titer
• Tdap vaccination (valid for 10 years) or declination
• TB Quantiferon blood test within one year prior to start
• Annual physical or health statement clearing candidate to work without restrictions
• Drug screen within 30 days of start (specific panel required)

Testing & Competency Requirements

• ARH EKG Exam and Telemetry Exam (unit-specific, within one year)
• ARH Skills Checklist (unit-specific, within one year)
• ARH Competency Exam (unit-specific, within one year)
• ARH Core Competencies (HIPAA, Safety, Infection Control, etc.; annual update required)

Professional Requirements

• Submission Packet including cover page, resume, skills checklist, driver’s license, and license/certification verification in one PDF
• 2 professional references required (1 charge nurse or higher, 1 supervisor reference within the last year)
• Background check within 30 days prior to start (7-year county, nationwide criminal, SSN trace, sex offender, SAM, OIG)
• Education and employment verifications combined with background check results
• Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry verification within 30 days prior to start
• ARH Assignment Confirmation form to be submitted within 24 hours of offer acceptance

This position requires a highly qualified ICU RN with current experience and all required certifications and immunizations up to date. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. The role offers a structured schedule and requires residency within 100 miles of the facility.
