Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (26 weeks)
Shift: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Job Description
- Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
- Follow clinical protocols, safety standards, and quality improvement guidelines.
- Assess patient conditions, document changes, and communicate critical updates to the interdisciplinary team.
- Execute physician and nursing orders accurately while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety best practices.
- Collaborate on discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Additional Onboarding Requirements
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and National Patient Safety Goals.
- Completion of specialty exams and unit-specific checklists as required.
- Completion of electronic health record (Cerner) test-out and training checklist.
- Submission of a professional resume/profile.
- Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment documentation.
- Color vision test.
- Badge photo (optional).
