MRI Tech Position - Albany, New York

Job Details

• Specialty: MRI Technician
• Location: Albany, NY
• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM (preferred) or 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Work Environment:

  • Hospital with approximately 450 beds
  • Responsible for scanning inpatient, ICU, and ER patients
  • Equipment includes 2 MRI scanners: 3T Siemens Skyra and 1.5T Siemens Symphony
  • Not responsible for breast, cardiac, or prostate MRI exams
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Epic

Required Qualifications

• Valid MRI Technologist license in New York
• Minimum 3 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARMRIT certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Immunizations and Health Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine with booster proof required (or approved exemption/declination where allowed)
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer required
• Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start date (titers not accepted)
• Influenza vaccine: Optional
• Varicella: Proof of vaccination or IgG titer required
• Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA required; positive TB requires chest x-ray within last year (depending on region)
• Fit test for N95 mask (specific to certain states)
• Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification
• Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
• Drug screen: 10-panel drug test (excluding THC) completed within 30 days of start
• Professional references and resume submission required
• Completion of confidentiality, conflict of interest, code of conduct, and audit services forms
• Specialty-specific competency testing and CORE exam within the last year
• System access form to be completed one week before start
• License/certification verification dated within 30 days of start
• National and state-level exclusion and sanction checks (EPLS, OIG, NSO) within 30 days of start

Additional Notes

• No holiday or weekend shifts required
• Agency will provide skills checklist for clinical contractors
• Must be proficient in routine MRI exams and able to work independently in a hospital setting with critically ill patients
