Job Opportunity: Cardiopulmonary Respiratory Therapist

Location: Fall River Mills, California
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

Provide respiratory therapy care, assessment, and delivery for patients as requested by physicians. Care settings include inpatient, outpatient, emergency services, and home care. Must be able to perform procedures such as intubations, aerosol delivery, patient assessment, and care planning with minimal assistance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of an associate degree in Respiratory Care
• Active and current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in California
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience, or new graduate with strong recommendations
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
• OSHA Respirator Fit Testing certification required within 3 months of hire
• Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) experience is mandatory

• Perform assigned tasks accurately and timely
• Follow chain of command and take direction as needed
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code
• Complete annual education and regulatory requirements
• Attend evaluations, meetings, and report to work on time
• Exhibit the mission, ethics, and goals of the facility

Working Conditions

• Willingness to work beyond normal hours and temporarily in other positions if necessary
• Interaction with personnel, visitors, and government agencies as needed
• Ability to work independently with integrity and flexibility

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, walk, and move intermittently during shifts
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs

Additional Information

• Facility is a critical access hospital with 22 acute beds and 99 long-term care beds
