Sleep Technologist

Location

Salida, Colorado

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Night shift: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
• Monday through Wednesday
• May include some holidays
• Occasional weekends may be needed
• May require a fourth night to cover vacations or illness
• Training/orientation schedule differs from the regular schedule

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Polysomnographer with 2 years of experience
• Polysomnographer experience within the last year
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (R.P.S.G.T)
• Current BLS certification
• Completion of an AASM A-STEP program or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and document patient information before testing
• Prepare, calibrate, and maintain sleep study equipment
• Apply electrodes and sensors and perform physiologic calibrations
• Perform polysomnographic procedures and monitor study quality
• Implement interventions such as PAP, oxygen administration, and other therapeutic measures as needed
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events
• Generate accurate reports from sleep study data
• Provide age-specific care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

Additional Notes

• Experience with NOX software is helpful
• Two-bed sleep lab
• Must be flexible to work an additional night if needed
