Schedule: Monday–Friday, varied hours; on-call coverage
Setting: Clinic / Cath Lab, with possible hospital coverage
Hours per Week: 30

Overview

This role performs echocardiograms and supports patient care through imaging, documentation, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with cardiology and other healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms per physician orders and department protocols
• Prepare and position patients for procedures
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture cardiac images
• Analyze images for abnormalities and potential pathology
• Document procedures, patient information, image acquisition, and interpretation
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines
• Participate in quality assurance and continuing education

Required Qualifications

• Echo Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Echo Technologist experience
• ARDMS or CCI
• BLS certification
• High school diploma or equivalent, or an associate's or bachelor's degree
