• Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 4 days per week (weekdays)
• On-call coverage required (nights, weekends, holidays)
• Rotational scheduling

Job Description

• Assist with positioning, surgical prepping, and draping of surgical patients
• Set up operating room before surgery, ensuring all equipment and instruments are available and functional
• Support surgical procedures in specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Podiatry, and Urology for both adult and pediatric patients

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Practical experience gained in a healthcare field through work or military service
• Certification from one of the following: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or Certified Tech in Surgery (TS-C)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs every 2 weeks
• COVID and flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted after submission of a declination form
• Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date

• Position located in a culturally diverse community serving Navajo, Hopi, Southern Paiute, Anglo, Hispanic, and African American populations
• Facility serves a large rural area with comprehensive inpatient/outpatient and surgical services
