Cath Lab Technologist – Nebraska, Omaha

Job Summary

Interventional Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist role focused on assisting and operating during percutaneous cardiac procedures including PCI, high risk PCI, CTO, heart failure interventions, and various structural heart procedures such as TAVR and Mitral Clip.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scrub in and manipulate fluoroscopy table and manifold.
  • Operate and assist with percutaneous procedures.
  • Manage supplies related to structural and PCI procedures.

Equipment Used

  • EPIC electronic charting system
  • Philips Azurion, Philips XPER
  • Acist, Manifold
  • IVUS (Philips, Boston), OCT
  • Balloon pump, Impella, Penumbra
  • Shockwave, Rotablade, CSI
  • Temporary pacemaker

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Nebraska
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with experience within the last year
  • Certifications: ARRT, ACLS, BLS issued by the American Heart Association

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 10-hour day shifts.
  • On-call 2-3 weeknights per week and 1 full weekend per month.

Orientation & Training

  • 1.5 weeks of training including modules and hands-on experience in the labs.
  • 12 hours of non-billable orientation.

Work Environment

  • 7 labs within a 500-bed academic medical center, Level 1 trauma designation.
  • Team structure: 3 technologists per room, 4 technologists on call.

Additional Information

  • Hospital-issued scrubs required.
  • No floating to other units.
  • The lab is very busy and efficient, with a focus on balanced team workload and workday.
  • Call-off policy allows up to 36 hours off every 13 weeks.
  • Candidates must be located outside a 100-mile radius (local candidates not accepted).
