Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry
Location
- Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit Description
- 42-bed Cardiac Medical Unit focusing on Cardiac Telemetry
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
- Patient population includes cardiac patients (chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, arrhythmias), medical patients (pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, occasional stroke), and surgical patients
- Nurses must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
Work Schedule
- 36 or 48 hours per week accepted (typically 36 hours guaranteed)
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as required
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg Telemetry
