Overview

Travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina.
Unit: CV PreOp.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0500–1330.
Hours per week: 36.
Contract length: 26 weeks.
On-call: stay late 1–2 times per week.
Floating: within scope of practice and experience.

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 2 years of experience.
Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year.
BLS.
Experience in a Critical Care setting.

Preferred

PreOp experience.

Unit Details

4 beds.
Patient ratio: 1:1.
Shared staffing support with CVOR.
Equipment includes GE Carescape Monitoring and Fuji u/s.
Documentation system: Cerner.

Clinical Responsibilities

Large-bore IV starts.
Chin to toe hair removal.
Medication administration.
Skin assessment.
Assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement.
Transport patient to OR.
Assist with induction/intubation, positioning, and skin prep.
