Location: Farmington, New Mexico Employment Type: Travel Reason for Opening: Backfill Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed) Shift: Nights, 7P-7A Weekend Hours: Varies Call Requirements: None Float Requirements: None Openings: 1

Unit Information

Unit: Childbirth Center, Labor and Delivery floor
Specialty: Labor & Delivery, Level 2 SCN, and Postpartum
Beds: 17, with 2 triage rooms
Patient Ratios: AWHONN standards; approximately 75 deliveries per month
Patient Population: Adult and newborn
Equipment: Fetal monitors, ISTAT, and Freestyle
Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Labor, GDM, hypertension, IUGR, macrosomia, drug use in pregnancy
Facility Context: Community hospital with a regional mission; not a teaching hospital (no resident physicians)
Housing: Local housing options available (at additional cost)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Labor and Delivery experience: 2 years, including Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Experience working with infant patients
Experience in a Special Care Nursery setting
Experience in a hospital setting
Couplet care experience, including postpartum experience
Experience with vaginal delivery
BLS
NRP
ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
AWHONN (must be renewed every 2 years)
