Location: Aurora, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Adult Behavioral Health unit with 120 beds
- Staff of approximately 50, including RNs and Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) on both day and night shifts
- Patient ratios typically 1:8 or 1:9 for days and nights (estimated, not guaranteed)
- Equipment includes Welch Allen VS Machines
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
- Family-like work environment with collaborative team culture
- Unit has received Magnet designation three times
Job Description
- Provide care for adult patients with varied mental health issues
- Perform behavioral health admissions and discharges
- Opportunity to serve as Lead RN with classes provided
- May float to other inpatient adult behavioral health units
- Emphasis on flexibility, teamwork, and compassion
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Behavioral Health nursing experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong inpatient behavioral health experience
