Location

Alexandria, Louisiana

Contract

13 weeks
36 hours per week
12-hour shifts
Every other weekend
Holidays required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

36-bed unit
Patient ratio: 1:6
Telemetry monitoring in each room
Floating to other units as needed
Self-scheduling within guidelines

Skills and Experience

Strong nursing background and knowledge
Thorough assessment skills
Attention to detail and recognition of condition changes
Telemetry rhythm interpretation
Meditech experience

Procedures

PICC line removal
Vas cath/temp cath removal

Work Environment

Unit secretaries available daily from 0600 to 2200
Patient care techs available at all times, with staffing based on census

Dress Code

Ceil blue scrubs
Must follow hospital hygiene and dress code policy
