Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Position

Location: Coushatta, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM (Night Shift)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule: Full Time, every other weekend required
On Call: Only if flexed off
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 6:1

Job Summary

Provide independent nursing care in a medical-surgical setting, managing routine and complex patient needs. Utilize nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor effectiveness and side effects, and document all care provided. Educate patients, families, and caregivers based on assessed learning needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
