Job Details

  • Shift: Nights (1900 - 0730)
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 (must be indicated on submission)
  • Weekend Hours: As required, typically every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Number of Openings: 4
  • Float Requirements: As needed to similar or lower acuity units
  • EMR System: EPIC

Unit & Patient Care Information

  • Provides direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Patient care includes post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
  • Coordinates care with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and outcomes.
  • Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
  • Utilizes nursing process and adheres to Missouri Nurse Practice Act and professional standards.
  • Physical demands include standing and walking most of the shift, bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance, and exposure to blood and body fluids.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
  • Experience in an inpatient setting
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Information

  • Flu vaccination is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted.
  • Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; availability for the entire orientation week is required.
  • Dress code requires black scrubs; other attire is not acceptable.
  • Flexible scheduling options available; must be indicated on submission.
  • Holiday time off requests limited to one per assignment.

Working Conditions

  • Must meet unit-specific physical demands including pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, pinching up to 15 lbs, kneeling, crouching, and minimal crawling.
  • May be required to work varying schedules and shifts based on patient care needs.
