Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - Echocardiology

Location: Elko, Nevada
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Tech specializing in Adult Echocardiography for a travel assignment. The role involves performing routine and advanced echocardiography procedures in a Level 4 rural trauma facility.

Work Schedule

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
Call Requirements: Rotating weekend call (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
Weekend Hours: None regularly scheduled

Unit & Patient Information

Department: Echocardiography
Number of Beds: 75
Patient Load: Approximately 5 outpatients per day (1-hour scheduled slots), plus 1-3 inpatients daily
Equipment: GE E95 ultrasound system
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost VidiStar
Patient Population: Adult

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in Adult Echocardiography within the last year
Certification: ARDMS (AE) Adult Echocardiography OR CCI (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer
BLS Certification
Proficient in:
- Routine Echocardiography
- Stress Echocardiography
- Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
- Contrast (Definity) Administration
- Agitated Saline Studies

Additional Information

Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
Orientation held weekly on Mondays
Dress Code: Professional scrubs (no camouflage patterns)
Personality Fit: Self-starter
