Position Details

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (M/S Tele)
Number of Openings: 1
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Weekend Shifts: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Call Requirements: None scheduled; possible shift flex to on-call twice during contract
Float Requirements: Expected to float to other units including IMC and ED
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Number of Beds on Unit: 40
Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients

Total joint replacement patients
Surgical patients
Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
Acute on chronic medical conditions such as CHF, CKD
Alcohol withdrawal
Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS)
Gastrointestinal Bleeding (GIB)

Required Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona
Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
ACLS certification required
BLS and NIH certifications preferred
Experience with telemetry and managing a 6-patient ratio
Ability to float to other units (IMC, ED)

Preferred Experience

Preceptor and charge nurse experience a plus
Compassionate, positive, can-do attitude
