Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: Lewisville, Texas
Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit

Unit Information

• Type: Hospital-based inpatient rehab
• Number of Beds: 18
• Staffing: 50+ staff including acute, inpatient rehab, and outpatient rehab
• Day Shift Staff: Typically 3-4 PTs, 3-4 OTs, 1 SLP, part-time rehab tech
• Night Shift: Not applicable
• Patient Care Expectation: Approximately 6 hours of patient care per 8-hour shift
• Equipment Used: Rollators, wheelchairs, supplemental oxygen, STC, conditioning equipment, BITS, Andago, Bioness, Armeo, Simulation Lab, etc.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): MediTech

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluation and treatment of patients
• Reporting in team conferences
• Family training
• Durable Medical Equipment (DME) recommendations
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, nurses, SLPs, PTs, PCTs, and techs

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation (mandatory)
• CARE Tool credentialing (preferred)
• Texas OT license
• CPR certification

Work Schedule and Environment

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Dress Code: Hunter Green scrubs (may be provided)
• Weekends and on-call duties: If requested
