Job Opportunity: RN - Women's Services (Travel)

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.
  • Evaluate and provide patient/family education tailored to age, culture, and condition.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  • Circulate during C-sections and assist physicians during deliveries.
  • Follow policies for recovery and care of surgical patients.
  • Attend neonatal station in C-section suite and assess neonates post-delivery.
  • Maintain fetal monitoring certification every two years.
  • Attend STABLE certification class if offered; NRP certification required.
  • Identify and communicate necessary information to physicians and patients.
  • May be required to float to other units as a helper or sitter depending on census.

Requirements

  • Licensure: Wyoming RN license or RN compact license.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery (L&D/LDRP).
    • Experience can include care of OB/GYN patients (post-op hysterectomy), antepartum care, triage, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required.
  • Additional: Must maintain fetal monitoring certification and NRP certification.

Specialty Experience Required

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years in specialty (RN in Women’s Services including Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, L&D).

Notes

  • Candidate may be required to float to other units as needed.
  • Prior travel experience is not specified as a requirement.
