Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Discipline / Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical
- Shift: 7 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Number of Openings: 1
- Float Requirements: Will float depending on house staffing
Unit Information
- Unit: 4 West
- Number of Beds: 30
- Patient Ratios: 6:1
- EMR System: Cerner
- Patient Population: Medical surgical and post-op surgery patients
Required Qualifications
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Medical Surgical)
- Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Must Have Skills/Experience:
- Medical Surgical nursing
- Orthopedics
- Post-operative care
Preferred Qualifications
- Time management skills
- Experience in medical surgical nursing
Work Environment & Culture
- Friendly, compassionate team
- Sense of urgency and ability to handle challenging situations
- Dress code: Navy scrubs
- Unacceptable attire: Fake nails, gel nails, dip nails, long nails, ear pods
Additional Notes
- No prior travel experience required
- Patient care involves med/surg and post-op surgery populations
- Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs
