Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)

Location: Smyrna, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: ICU
Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratios: 2:1
Staffing: Unit tech available; floating in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers
Equipment: GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispenser, Drager ventilators
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: Every other weekend required
Patient Experience Requirements: AIDET communication, use of communication board, medication teaching

Required Skills & Certifications

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification
Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU or related specialty (highest required)
Advanced Skills: Ventilator and sedation management, medication titration
Procedures Performed: Tracheostomy placement, bronchoscopy, cardioversion
Personal Attributes: Positive attitude, teamwork, problem solving

Additional Information

Dress Code: Charcoal gray scrubs
Floating Policy: Rotation with full-time staff and other travelers
Unit Environment: Trauma III certified hospital
Schedule: Every other weekend required
