Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer - Radiology
Location: Huntsville, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM, Friday through Sunday)
Job Description
- Provide timely diagnostic ultrasound services to inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols.
- Perform abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms.
- Proficient in scanning small parts including thyroid, breast, and scrotum.
- Skilled in ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
- Must be located 50+ miles from the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or ARDMS certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Skilled in obstetrical (OB) ultrasound, including experience as an OB Technician.
- Skilled in vascular ultrasound, including experience as a Vascular Sonographer.
- Proficient in Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) and general ultrasound procedures.
Additional Information
- Night shift work on weekends only (Friday-Sunday).
- Travel assignment.
