Infection Preventionist
Role Overview
- Day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:30am/8:00am–5:00pm
- On call required 1 week per month, usually covered by phone
- Epic experience required
- Business attire or scrubs
Required Qualifications
- RN license: RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- Bachelors Nursing
- Minimum 2 years experience in a clinical nursing role
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent teamwork and relationship building
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic principles of epidemiology, surveillance, data collection and analysis
- Knowledge of Infection Prevention guidelines, OSHA, regulatory requirements, and CDC guidelines
- Personal time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years as Infection Preventionist in an acute care hospital
- CIC certification preferred
- Cert in Infection Control within 2 years preferred
