Physical Therapist Assistant

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Work Setting

• On-site 3 days per week and off-site 2 days per week
• Off-site work includes home visits and some telehealth
• May occasionally be asked to come on-site an additional day

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or foreign Physical Therapy Assistant degrees must be evaluated for US equivalency.
• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in California
• Physical Therapy Assistant (2 years of experience)
• Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience working with Geriatric patients

Key Responsibilities

• Provide restorative and rehabilitative physical therapy services under the direction of a physical therapist
• Administer treatment programs established by the physical therapist
• Assist with vital signs, range of motion testing, and strength testing
• Coordinate with the rehabilitation team to support individual treatment plans
• Document therapy interventions and complete required documentation accurately and on time
• Train staff, participants, and caregivers/families on therapeutic equipment use and care
• Track and manage equipment maintenance
• Support end-of-life care coordination under supervision
• Follow scope of practice, privacy, confidentiality, policies, procedures, and required trainings
