Job Overview

• Guaranteed hours: 48 per week

Schedule and Assignment Details

• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Low-census scheduling may occur in 4-hour increments, including 4- or 8-hour shifts as needed

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background with strong neuro assessment skills

Preferred Experience

• 1 travel assignment preferred
• Experience as a Neuro Interventionalist is a plus
• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring

Unit and Patient Population

• 8-bed Neuro unit
• Cares for stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients
• Main procedures include neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures such as line placement and intubation
• Neuro-specific procedures include bolt and drain bedside placements with Neurosurgery and future care for neuro interventional patients
