Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU

Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Unit: Pediatric Float Pool covering General Pediatrics, PICU, and Neonatal ICU
  • Shift: Day shift, 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM (11.5 hours)
  • Schedule: Rotating 3-4-3-4 schedule, approximately 40.25 hours per week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirement: None
  • Float Requirement: Yes, to units appropriate for skillset within acuity
  • Start Dates: Weekly start dates available, with a focus on Fall/Winter (October start preferred)
  • Dress Code: Navy bottoms with white top and dark shoes, or all white with white shoes
  • Vaccination: Flu and COVID vaccination required with no declinations

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New York
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Current American Heart Association certifications: BLS, PALS, and NRP
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
  • Experience at a large academic teaching hospital setting
  • Pediatrics experience
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience

Additional Information

  • Interviews required: Voice Advantage interview plus Nurse Manager screening
  • Offers valid for 48 business hours after issuance
  • No weekend differential or local traveler rate difference

This position is ideal for experienced PICU nurses with travel experience seeking a long-term assignment in a high-acuity pediatric setting.
