Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Minimum 2 years of experience working in Labor & Delivery or Postpartum; experience with both patient types preferred.
Night shift schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) plus on-call (12 hours of on-call per 6-week schedule).
Every other weekend and holiday coverage required based on unit needs.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Postpartum experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) certification.
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.

Additional Information

On-call responsibilities include 12 hours every 6 weeks.
Weekend and holiday shifts are required on an alternating schedule.
