Sonographer - Boston, Massachusetts (LTA Contract)
Job Overview
- Split position between two hospitals.
- Scanning at one site focuses on head & neck exams following detailed protocols, including potential involvement with ultrasound-guided procedures (biopsies and OR guidance).
- At the other site, scanning includes routine general exams, transplanted liver and kidney, DVT exams (upper & lower), with pediatric experience considered a plus.
- Equipment used includes Philips Epiq Elite and GE Logiq 10s.
Schedule
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Monday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Certifications and Licenses
- BLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military; AHA preferred)
- Professional license verification (no MA Conditional Licenses accepted)
- Fit Test for N95 respirator (within 365 days, updated annually)
- MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30), no exemptions
- TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months, updated if >6 month break
- Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days, updated if >6 month break
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience (required for submission)
- Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above)
- Skills checklist (required for submission)
- Confirmation of assignment/POI form for initial assignments and extensions
- Education verification (highest level achieved)
- SSN trace (past 7 years addresses/aliases)
- National sex offender check (within 30 days of start, updated annually)
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days of start and annually
Optional/Preferred
- Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity (strongly preferred)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (preferred)
- Positive PPD requires negative chest x-ray documentation
- TB symptom survey if positive PPD (optional)
