Job Opportunity: PACU RN (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift Length: 5 to 8 hour shifts, plus on-call duties
• Specialty: RN PACU
• Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Valid RN license in Rhode Island (Nursys verification required)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
• Experience: PACU experience required (years of experience not explicitly stated, assume minimum 1+ year based on specialty)
• Education: BSN preferred (copy of diploma or transcripts required)
• Additional Requirements:

  • Completion of CNE Skills Checklist and Specialty Competency Exam (RN only)
  • Basic EKG Exam, Pharmacology Exam, and Core Competencies testing (RN only)
  • COVID-19 vaccine series or bivalent booster (medical exemptions reviewed)
  • Proof of immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B (vaccination series or declination), Influenza (seasonal requirement), Varicella, Tdap
  • Fit testing for N95 masks within one year prior to start
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (TB testing) within the last year
  • Fingerprinting in Rhode Island within 30 days of start
  • Criminal background check within 6 months of start (Federal, County, National, Statewide with OIG, NSO, GSA/SAM searches)
  • Driver’s License or State ID
  • Employment verification for last 5 years
  • Professional references (minimum one supervisory)
  • Completion of required orientation packets, confidentiality agreements, and work attestation forms
