Job Opportunity: Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide speech therapy services to home health clients.
• Deliver direct patient care and collaborate with team members.
• Participate in developing comprehensive patient care plans.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Speech and Language Pathology experience in Home Care.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Education & Certification

• Master’s or Doctorate degree required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; Clinical Fellow candidates accepted.
• Massachusetts Speech and Language Pathologist license required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.

Other Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle required (firm requirement).
• Knowledge of rehabilitation equipment, including language/communication aids, devices, and wheelchairs.
• Must provide:

  • Work history
  • Skills checklist (updated within the last year)
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
  • License and certifications uploaded with profile

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• No more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment will be accepted.
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
• Non-billable orientation: 8 hours.
• Holiday and overtime multipliers apply.
• Call, call-back, and charge responsibilities are not applicable.

This position is a home health assignment requiring a highly qualified and independent SLP with specific home care experience and licensure in Massachusetts.
