Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Long Term Care (LTC) Days

• Location: Ada, Oklahoma
• Employment type: Temporary
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 8 hours per day

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Administer rehabilitation procedures such as manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress, report treatment outcomes, and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Document required information in the electronic documentation system, including accurate treatment minutes.
• Provide input for discharge summaries.
• Attend required meetings, such as patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings.
• Complete required trainings, in-services, and conferences.
• Work with the supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary DME or supplies.
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
• Follow APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Oklahoma
• 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience, with Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience in a Long Term Care or Rehabilitation setting
• New grads are considered only if they have Level II (not just Level I observation) experience
• Resume
• Skills checklist completed within the past year
• 0-1 reference at time of submission
