Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Auburn, New York

Required Experience

• Minimum 2+ recent years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in New York.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year.

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam completed within 12 months prior to start, signed by a licensed provider.
• Negative TB test (PPD, T-Spot, or QGold) within 1 year or chest x-ray if previously positive.
• Immunizations or immunity documentation required for:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (series, titer, or declination)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within last 10 years or declination)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start.

Additional Requirements

• Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including Code of Conduct, Patient Abuse Reporting, Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, Orientation Packet, and Automated Dispensing Cabinet Security.
• Annual tuberculosis screening questionnaire required.
• Competency exams and pass/fail testing related to telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation may be required depending on unit assignment.
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years of hire.
• Skills checklist required.
• Compliance with New York State Nurse Aide Registry and Medicaid Exclusion List requirements.
