Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Odessa, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Must be willing to float to other med/surg/tele units as assigned
- Facility will consider 48 hours per week or 36/48 alternating schedule
Required Certifications
- ACLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- BLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- PALS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) as applicable
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy) as applicable
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) as applicable
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) as applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
- State License Verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification within 30 days of start
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for RNs
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update)
- Tech Cert Verification (National) within 30 days of start
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (facility-specific)
Background Checks & Compliance
- 7 Year Background Check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
- Annual background check renewal required for Aya candidates
- Facility-specific standards of conduct, behavior, dress code, and COVID declination forms required
- Facility-specific notice of employment and agency checklist required
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
- Fit Mask Test within 1 year, updated annually (N-95 or Halyard Orange Duckbill masks accepted; PAPR not accepted)
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (Chest X-Ray required for positive responders)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Rubeola (Measles) immunity via positive titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low/equivocal)
- Mumps immunity via positive titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low/equivocal)
- Rubella immunity via positive titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low/equivocal)
- Hepatitis B immunity via positive titer, series, or declination
- Varicella immunity via positive titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low/equivocal)
- Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start (instant acceptable)
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination required during flu season (Oct-April); mask required if declined
- COVID-19 Vaccine preferred but not required
Competency & Skills
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required
- Competency Exam required
- Skills Checklist required, updated annually
- Employment Application/Resume required
- Two professional references within 3 years required
Facility-Specific Training & Documentation
- HIPAA and Fair Warning Quiz Modules (must be completed within 72 hours of signing)
- Orientation and Safety Training Modules (must be completed within 72 hours of signing)
- Annual TB Questionnaire required
