CT Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (CT/Xray Tech)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Variable; currently Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
- Shift Options: Day (3x12 hours, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) or Night (3x12 hours, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- No on-call required
- Weekend work required
- Patient Volume: Approximately 20 visits per day, primarily driven by Emergency Department needs
- Charting System: Epic
- Equipment Used: Siemens Somatron go all, Carestream Revolution portable x-ray, GE-9900 OEC portable c-arm, Siemens Ysio Max general x-ray
- Float Requirement: No floating between units
Facility & Unit Information
- Acute care hospital with 29 adult inpatient beds, 18 ED rooms, 2 OR rooms, 1 cath lab
- Labor and delivery unit with 6 labor beds (opened Jan 2025)
- Imaging covers hospital needs including ED and inpatient; no scheduled outpatient or interventional radiology cases
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification
Orientation & Onboarding
- Orientation held twice monthly
- Required to complete facility-specific orientation and safety manual acknowledgment
- Pass/fail testing (including EKG/medication assessments) may be required depending on unit assignment
- Must complete facility-specific job description review and traveler welcome acknowledgment
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Background check must be completed within 30 days prior to assignment start, including multi-county/state searches and federal databases
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Drug testing (12-panel) must be completed within 30 days of start and within 72 hours of booking
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by physician, NP, or PA
- Fit testing for N95 masks within 1 year of start (PAPR available onsite)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declinations allowed except for certain units)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (proof of vaccination or positive titer; no declinations)
- Varicella (proof of vaccination or positive titer; no declinations)
- Hepatitis B (proof of vaccination or positive titer; declinations allowed with signed form)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 30) or approved medical/religious exemption with facility-specific form
- Must provide 2 professional references from employment within last 3 years, including at least 1 supervisory reference
- Employment application with detailed 7-year work history and explanation of gaps over 30 days required
- Annual updates required for skills checklist and HIPAA competency (passing score 80%+)
Additional Notes
- No local candidates within 75 miles of the facility will be considered
