Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, rotating 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM (3 days of 12-hour shifts per week, including Saturdays)
- Contract Length: 8 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Description
- 59-day union assignment
- Rotating schedule includes Saturdays
- 60-minute unpaid lunch break per shift
- Work involves diagnostic imaging with emphasis on MRI and radiography
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
- Current New York State license in Radiography
- Certification by New York State to inject contrast media
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Diagnostic Imaging (higher experience requirement takes precedence)
- Proficiency with EMR, RIS, HIS, PACS, and modality-specific software
- Maintains continuing education credits per ARRT requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant experience in MRI
Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Primary Source Verification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Primary Source Verification required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA Primary Source Verification required
- Current/active state license with no pending adverse action (must be verified within 60 days prior to assignment start)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 60 days prior to assignment, covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school in the past 7 years, including all aliases
- EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Social Security Verification, Sex Offender Search, OFAC Sanctions List Search within 60 days prior to start
- Education Verification with primary source verification for all formal education listed
- Employment Application covering 20 years of employment history with no gaps, in MM/YYYY format
- Work History Verification covering 20 years of employment, with documentation for unverifiable periods
- Two professional references within 2 years of start date (1 for per diem non-acute care)
- Signed confidentiality agreement, staff attestation, and harassment factsheet prior to start
- Completion of department orientation checklist onsite
- Completion of required prestart and annual training modules
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including vital signs, review of systems, medical history, and clearance to work without restrictions
- Fit mask test (N95) within 1 year prior to start (PAPR not accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility options within required timeframes; TB questionnaire completed annually
- Immunization or titer proof for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer, antigen, or vaccine series with declination if applicable)
- Hepatitis C (titer and treatment documentation if positive)
- Seasonal Flu vaccination during flu season (Sept 3 – May 4), with medical or religious exemptions requiring approval
- Negative 9-panel drug screen with chain of custody within 60 days prior to start (excluding marijuana)
- Vision screening (Snellen) within 12 months prior to start; corrective lenses noted if applicable
- Color blind testing if failed online exam twice (Ishihara plates with MD signature required)
