Audiologist - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina
Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Total: 40 hours per week

Job Description

• Work in an established ENT/Allergy/Audiology practice
• Patient volume: Approximately 10-12 patients per day
• Patient population: Primarily adults, with some pediatrics (6 months and older)
• Perform comprehensive diagnostic audiology evaluations
• Manage hearing aid services including selection, fitting, and follow-up care
• Conduct Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) on infants and toddlers
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other clinicians

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Audiologist license in North Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of Audiologist experience within the last year
• Hold or be currently completing a Doctor of Audiology degree (AuD)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Background check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Federal exclusions checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG) within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Education verification: Diploma or transcript for highest degree obtained
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within one year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Physical exam: Physician statement within last 12 months (not required annually)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years if past positive PPD)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (10/1–3/31); exemptions require facility-specific forms and mask-wearing during flu season
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and compliance packets prior to start

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense accepted)

Additional Information

• This is a day shift position with 4 ten-hour days plus a half-day Friday
• Patient care includes a broad age range, with a focus on adult audiology services
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including ENT physicians, physician assistants, and audiologists
