EEG Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Shift: Night (2x12 hours, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 24
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work as an EEG Tech specializing in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics.
• Experience with ICU patients required.
• Patient ratio approximately 1:12.
• Every Other Weekend (EOW) work required (Friday/Saturday).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an EEG Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Compliance & Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including PA PATCH search (required for Pennsylvania).
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire.
• Education verification or official transcript required.
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting results required within 12 months of start date (for PA placements).
• Child Abuse Search required within 12 months of start (for PA).
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug test within 60 days prior to start.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 2 months of start.
• Fit mask test (3M 1870+ model) within 12 months prior to start; must be completed before start date.
• Current Tdap vaccine or titer required.
• Negative TB test (Qgold or TSPOT) within 90 days of start; chest X-ray if positive test.
• Annual TB questionnaire required.
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required (exempt if born before 1957).
• Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination accepted.
• Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required.
• Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1).
• COVID-19 vaccine no longer required prior to start; medical/religious exemptions accepted with masking requirements.

Orientation & Training

• Completion of facility-specific education modules (~6 hours) prior to orientation.
• Signed acknowledgment of Joint Commission Safety Manual and pass/fail testing acknowledgment required.
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable.

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend (Friday and Saturday).
• Facility does not provide on-site fit testing; must be completed prior to start.
• Failure to pass required orientation exams will result in contract cancellation.
