Shift: 12-hour nights

Job Description
- Position in inpatient rehabilitation unit
- Preferred experience in Neuro/Stroke unit
Requirements
Licenses & Certifications
- California RN License (CA RN License)
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) - must be AHA certified, no placeholders
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - must be AHA certified, no placeholders
- Minimum 2 years inpatient rehab experience required (higher years of experience not indicated)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years inpatient rehabilitation experience required
- Neuro/Stroke unit experience preferred
Prior Travel Experience
- No explicit requirement for prior travel experience mentioned
Compliance & Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Education verification or copy of diploma/transcript required
- NURSYS verification required for RN license
- Drug testing: Standard 9 panel (excluding THC), within 30 days of start, re-run every 2 years
- Two supervisory references required (most recent or second most recent employment)

Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, including physician statement of fitness to work
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific approved masks required)

- Two negative TB tests required: one within 1 year, one within 3 months of start
- Annual TB questionnaire within 30 days of start
- Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella (IGG titer or 2 vaccines; history of disease not accepted)
- Flu seasonal vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine booster #2 required for all travelers
- COVID-19 seasonal vaccination or approved exemption required
Competency & Testing
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required with passing score of 80% or higher
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start, passing score 80%+
- Core Parts I, II, and III competency exams required annually with passing score 80%+
- Pass/Fail Telemetry and Medication exams required on first day; multiple retakes allowed
- NIH Stroke Certification required for ED RNs (check unit specifics)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) may be required depending on unit
Facility Specific Information
- Scrubs provided for certain units (Cardiac Cath Lab, Burn Unit, OR, Surgical Services); others must follow facility scrub color guidelines
- Photo for badge must be submitted by Monday prior to start, in color, neutral background
- Parking and uniform information must be reviewed and acknowledged prior to start
- COVID-19 preparedness and related documentation must be reviewed and acknowledged prior to start
- Annual cybersecurity awareness training and quiz required
- HIPAA training and quizzes required for clinical staff

- Candidates must complete learning modules in the UCSF Learning Management System ASAP after clearance
- Candidates with gaps over 30 days in assignments require additional background checks and documentation
