Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Bedford, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM (40 hours/week)
  • Weekend Requirement: Every weekend required
  • Call Requirement: None
  • Float Requirement: None
  • Scrubs: Any
  • License: NH license accepted if pending
  • Travel Experience: Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted

    • EPIC
    • Adult Acute Care & Outpatient
    • Emergency Department
    • Pediatric Outpatient
    • PACS, Siemens
    • Various CT studies including Abdomen, Enterography, Pelvis, Chest, Vascular chest, Carotid, Head, Sinuses, Soft tissue neck, Trauma head
    • 3D rendering and Multiplanar reconstruction
    • Region of interest measurement (ROI)
    • Isolation Precautions
    • Preparation and administration of contrast media
    • Radiation Safety
    • Starting Peripheral IVs, Venipuncture
    • Coronary CTA, CT arthrography, Vascular CTA
    • Cervical, Lumbar, Musculoskeletal trauma, Thoracic imaging
  • Certifications:

    • NH State License
    • ARRT CT
    • ARRT R
    • BLS (AHA Provider)

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • Level II Trauma experience
  • Management or leadership experience
  • Previous charge nurse experience

Required Background & Compliance Checks

  • Social Security Verification

    • Criminal county/state searches (excluding NH counties)
    • State of NH Criminal Background Report
    • BEAS State Registry Results (NH specific)

  • Transcript/Diploma verification (if education verification pending)

Required Health & Immunization Documents

  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
  • Annual fit mask test (N95 or equivalent)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD, Qgold, or Tspot)
  • TB Questionnaire (required for all travelers)
  • Immunity or vaccination documentation for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (declinations accepted with waiver)
    • Varicella (history of disease NOT accepted)
  • 10-panel drug screen within 14 days prior to start (with a 7-day grace period)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during October 31 - April 1 period (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
  • COVID-19 vaccination (full vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions allowed)
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance questionnaire

Competency & Testing Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (internal use)
  • Competency Exam (internal use)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam:
    • Time sensitive; must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing for certain units
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) for specific units

Additional Notes

  • Candidates who have ever been employed by the associated health system are not eligible regardless of separation time.
  • Various facility-specific exemption forms for flu, COVID-19, and Tdap vaccines are required if applicable.
  • Two current professional references required, including one from a supervisor or charge RN.
  • Employment application and skills checklist required.
  • Annual internal evaluation required for travelers with 1+ year tenure with the agency.

This position is ideal for experienced Radiology/Cardiology professionals with prior travel contract experience, who meet the certification and compliance requirements and are available for a 13-week travel assignment in New Hampshire with weekend work.
