Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel/Contract

Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• ICU Registered Nurse role
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required (highest stated requirement)
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
• Float to Med/Surg and Emergency Department as census fluctuates

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA or ARC only; AHA Provider, Instructor, and RQI acceptable)
• BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• State Nursing License (Primary Source Verification)
• NURSYS Verification (as applicable)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID
• E-Verify or Attestation
• Background Check: 7-year criminal check within 30 days of start, updated annually, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification (as applicable)
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start
• 10 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start (results must be cleared prior to start)
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Tdap within 10 years (declination acceptable)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or proof of vaccination required; declinations/exemptions not accepted
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, 3-dose vaccine series, or declination required
• Flu Vaccine or Declination/Exemption (seasonal requirement, documentation required prior to start if working October 1 - March 31)
• COVID-19 Vaccine: New Comirnaty mRNA 2024-2025 booster required or facility-specific medical/religious waiver

Orientation & Training

• Completion of HealthStream modules prior to start (2-3 hours, must be completed by Friday before Monday start)
• Facility-specific orientation and commitment to excellence standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable

Additional Notes

• Clear, passport-style photo required for badge
• Fit mask test and color-blind exam completed onsite during orientation
• 2 professional references within 3 years required
• Employment application and skills checklist required and must be updated annually

This position is ideal for ICU RNs with solid critical care experience who are flexible with scheduling and able to float to other units as needed.
